Physiotherapy - Laser Therapy
Laser Therapy, also known as Low-Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT), Photobiomodulation, Cold Laser, etc. is a light-based technology proven to be highly effective in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems, via stimulation of the tissue cells which causes a chain reaction of decreasing inflammation and increasing regeneration and repair of the effected tissues.
The technology is non-invasive, non-toxic, and is currently utilized in many countries world-wide. The Clinically Proven Benefits are:
Improved pain relief
Decreased edema (inflammation) and stiffness
Decreased scarring
Decreased recurrence of injury
Increased patient satisfaction
Decreased recovery time
Increased range of motion
Faster return to activities
No side effects
Athletic Therapy
Athletic Therapists have a very similar skill set to Physio therapists. They are able to treat acute and chronic injuries in a clinical setting or field side. Athletic Therapy is a fantastic compliment to the injury rehabilitation work that we do at Live Well Active Therapy
Ontario Athletic Therapists are well-trained allied healthcare professionals with a well-defined scope of practice focused on the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and concussions
1. To become an athletic therapist in Ontario, you need a bachelor's degree in sport therapy or a degree in health sciences with a specialization in sports injury management
2. The Ontario Athletic Therapist Association (OATA) is an independently incorporated, not-for-profit organization that provides leadership and support to the Athletic Therapists practising and studying in Ontario
Pelvic Floor Therapy - An external approach

Our External Pelvic Floor Therapy program offers specialized, exercise-based approaches to strengthen, balance, and relieve tension in the pelvic area.
